“Hemmed In” is a term very dear to my soul, one that deeply resonates with me. The Psalmist writes about His God, “You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.” If you read the entire Psalm (139), you will read about a person who is confident they are known by God and is at ease with the boundaries God has placed around Him.
God has always hemmed me in, but I am not always as comfortable, nearly as confident or happy as the psalmist who writes. Yet I trust {most of the time} in God who has His hand on me and I believe {most of the time} what the Scriptures say about who God says He is and who He he says I am ~ fearfully and wonderfully made!
Currently, I serve as women’s pastor in this amazing community called The King’s Harbor Church. It is a privilege to walk alongside these women {and men}, seeing the work of Jesus in their lives. I love to teach the Bible, speak at retreats and MOPS {and other mom type} groups. I am passionate about seeing people’s lives be transformed by the power of God and for His Word to come alive to its readers. My heart is in the Church that belongs to Jesus and still believe She is intended to bring Hope to this broken world.
I am thankful to be hemmed in at home with my husband who I’ve been married to for 15 years. We met in college, had a long distance relationship, got married and made some kids.
I would give my life for my four boys who challenge me, stretch me and bring me joy every day. They have taught me how to trust the Unseen in new ways and have solidified the truth, God can do abundantly more than we ask or imagine.
